On 23 May, over 500 people sought shelter in the Desmond Tutu hall in Makhaza, Khayelitsha, after they were driven from their homes by the xenophobic violence that spread across South Africa that week. IkamvaYouth is a by-youth, for-youth non-profit organisation based in the same building. Since Saturday 24 May, ikamvanites have been trying to help our neighbours.
